On August 5, 2001, Steve and Karen Kennedy traveled to Kiev, Ukraine to adopt a child. Our journey led us to a
baby house in a region down by the Black Sea, where we met and fell in love with our daughter (born October 16, 1998),
whom we named Nadia Anastasia. On August 14, 2001, in a court of law in Ukraine, we officially became a family!
The above photo was taken shortly after our return home from Ukraine and Poland.
